Energy Conservation Video ... Messaging For Kids

1. Who do you think are the target audience of this clip?

I think that the target audience are children.

2. What do you think are the main key messages that the clip is trying to communicate?

I think that the clip is trying to convince the viewers to change their incandescent bulbs to CFL ones in order to save more energy.

3. Do you think the clip is effective? Why or why not?

I think that the clip would be quite effective. As it is an animated video, it is extremely appealing to children, who may find the characters in the show interesting. After the video, the children may probably be convinced of energy saving.

4. How do you think the messaging/clip could be further improved?

The terms used in the video could be simplified in order to let children, who may not understand terms such as 'incandescent' and such, to be able to understand the video better.

Energy Conservation Video

1. What do you think are some of the limitations of using renewable energy resources, based on the clip that you have seen?

The wind turbines create sound pollution and affect the people staying near it if it is built near houses. They also have a disturbing strobe light effect when the wind turbine blades cut through the morning and evening sunlight.

2. What are some possible solutions that the video have suggested?

Smaller wind turbines could be places in the residential area. We could also try to require less energy by turning off all lights and fans when not needed, etc.

3. How do you think Energy Conservation messages can be communicated effectively in the school or local context? Give or suggest some examples.

Posters, videos, advertisements, roadshows, brochures etc.
